Connect your Stellar wallet to start sending and receiving payments through Orka.
Why connect a wallet?
Orka uses the Stellar network for fast, low-cost cross-border payments. Connecting your wallet enables:
- Receiving payments from clients
- Funding escrow for milestones
- Sending payments to team members
- Cross-border transactions
1. Install Freighter
Freighter is a browser extension for interacting with the Stellar network.
- Visit the Freighter website
- Install the extension for your browser
- Create or import a Stellar account
2. Connect to Orka
Once Freighter is installed:
- Go to your workspace settings
- Click "Connect Wallet"
- Approve the connection in Freighter
- Your wallet address will appear in Orka
Business Tip: Use a dedicated wallet for your business finances. This makes accounting and tax reporting much easier.
3. Choose your currency
Select the default currency for your workspace:
- USD — US Dollar
- EUR — Euro
- GBP — British Pound
- XLM — Stellar Lumens
Security
Your wallet keys never leave Freighter. Orka can only request transactions — you always approve them in the extension.
Business Tip: Never share your Freighter password or recovery phrase with anyone, including Orka support.
